Fernhill Stud is 10 minutes from Hastings, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand.

Annual Sale

The 2010 sale will by tender and not auction as in previous years. Every year in late March, timed to coincide with the horse of the year show, Fernhill Stud put all their 2 year olds that are not retained for breeding in a free-jumping sale. Broken-in 3 year olds unsold from the previous year are also put up for tender. The sale catalogue will be online for viewing in the weeks leading up to the next sale in 2010.

We have been breeding competition horses for 30 years.

'Kiwi' prefix

The 'Kiwi' prefix has been purchased from the NZEF. A lot of the horses purchased from the stud use the “Kiwi” prefix eg Kiwi Brave, Kiwi Relic.
